In the passenger car segment, production surged from 11,481 units in early 2020 to 1,128,000 units by 2023, marking an impressive increase of approximately 9724%, a 97-fold increase. In the commercial vehicle segment (NEV CVs), production surged from 1,427 units in early 2020 to 64,000 units by 2023, marking an impressive increase of approximately 4384%, a 44-fold increase.
Sales of Battery Electric Vehicles (BEVs) surged from 10,680 units in early 2020 to 825,000 units by mid-2023, marking a 77.3-fold increase. Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles (PHEVs) saw a rise from 2,228 units to 364,000 units, reflecting a 163.5-fold increase.
